Major/Essential Functions

These positions are not restricted to residents of Lubbock, however, individuals in these positions must be available to instruct in-person labs in applied exercise physiology and exercise testing and prescription at the Dallas Metroplex campus of Texas Tech University at least two Saturdays per academic and summer term. The cost of travel to the Dallas Metroplex campus of Texas Tech University is the sole responsibility of the Assistant Professors of Practice.
Teach four courses in the fall semester and four courses in the spring semester of a variety of undergraduate kinesiology online courses.
Participate in teaching workshops offered by the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center at Texas Tech University to enhance instructional abilities.
Contribute to the mission of the department as a colleague.
Learn and develop a number of courses in the 36-hour completion program.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of master's degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field.
A minimum of 1 year of teaching some of the undergraduate kinesiology courses in the 36-hour completion program.
Demonstrated ability to instruct in-person labs in applied exercise physiology and exercise testing and prescription.

Preferred Qualifications

An earned doctoral degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, exercise science, or directly related field.
Three or more years teaching four or more online undergraduate kinesiology matching the 36-hour completion program list.
Live in the Dallas Metroplex area.
