Job Summary

The Associate Director of Transfer, Adult, and Online Recruitment will serve as a member of the recruitment leadership team and will oversee the development and implementation of strategic recruitment for transfer students, adult students, and students in fully online programs at Georgia Southern University. This position will supervise a team of Recruitment Specialists based on multiple campuses. Additionally, this position will work closely with Military & Veteran Services to develop military-affiliated student recruitment pipelines. The Associate Director will consistently exhibit service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to meet enrollment goals for transfer, adult, and fully online students
  • Lead the planning and implementation of all transfer, adult, online, and military-affiliated recruitment events held on- and off campus and virtually
  • Attend off-campus transfer college fairs and community events and visit regional two-year college campuses
  • Stay abreast of national and regional student policy, trends, and research specific to transfer students, adult learners, fully online students, and military-affiliated students
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with technical, two-year, and community colleges in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee
  • Serve as a strong advocate for transfer, adult, fully online, and military-affiliated students, and maintain strong relationships with Military & Veteran Services, the Center for Advising,
  • Retention, and Completion, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Adult & Online Learning, and the Office of the Provost
  • Serve as the liaison for transfer pathway programs with East Georgia State College, Ogeechee Technical College, and Savannah Technical College
  • Present daily information sessions and give campus tours to visitors as needed, providing information about Georgia Southern to prospective students and families
  • Lead, with Recruitment Specialists, chapters of Tau Sigma Transfer Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association
  • Coordinate merit scholarship processes and awarding for transfer and adult students
  • Develop and monitor reports on transfer, adult, fully online, and military-affiliated recruitment funnels and assist with developing enrollment projections
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the transfer credit processes, advisement processes, DegreeWorks, and articulation agreements, as they pertain to new students with transferable credit
  • Work with online lead generation services to expand the transfer and adult learner prospect pool
  • Develop strategic communications, in conjunction with University Communications and Marketing, to facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of transfer, adult, fully online, and military-affiliated students
  • Hire, train, supervise, and mentor a team of Recruitment Specialists
  • Manage an assigned recruitment caseload of transfer, transient, post-baccalaureate and readmit student


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Five (5) or more years of related work experience

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Masters degree in higher education or a related field

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a college admissions or enrollment office Experience working with adult, transfer, and/or online college students Experience with Banner SIS and/or Technolutions Slate CRM


Proposed Salary

$68,000 - $70,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
